Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.

Laura was raised by her mother who encouraged her creativity at an early age. She supplied her with an easel, and a table in their kitchen where Laura could create to her hearts content.

Laura began painting lessons as a young girl. The only classes available were in a local frame shop and were for adults. The teaching artist gladly welcomed her into class. Walking into the frame shop each week gave such delight to Laura. The sight of big easels ready for use, a multitude of file cabinets filled with inspirational photos, the smell of turpentine, and the rough feel of Lava soap excited her. She loved the whole experience just as she does today.

Juicy paint, drips and drops with bright colors bring energy and movement to her work. Laura’s main subjects are flowers and plants and occasionally landscapes.

Acrylic paint, soft pastel, aquarelle pencils, and Posca pens are her favorite tools.

In addition to painting, Laura enjoys creating with wool felt, linen, sequins, and
embroidery thread.
